Establishing an appropriate and fair standard requires a detailed study. Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and constituents, GPS conducts standard setting studies consistent with professional standards. These research projects help organizations establish a standard of performance. In certification testing, this standard will be a score that separates passing candidates and failing candidates. There are many accepted methodologies for standard setting. GPS works with partners to identify the most appropriate standard setting methodology.
